Queen’s Award for Elmgrove Foods

Stuart Dobson meets the QueenAlumnus Stuart Dobson (BA Hons Accounting and Finance 1998), Managing Director of Elmgrove Foods Limited, attended a reception at Buckingham Palace recently where he was honoured with The Queen’s Award for Enterprise.

Elmgrove Food Limited achieved the award in recognition of creating and exporting innovative beef, lamb and pork offal products to global customers across the world.

Stuart said: “We are extremely proud to receive the Queen’s Award. The awards are widely recognised as the showcase for the UK’s most dynamic companies and this award is the direct result of our team working closely with customers and suppliers in developing innovative products and providing exceptional sales support.”

The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is the UK’s most prestigious award for business performance. It recognises substantial growth in overseas earnings and commercial success at outstanding levels, based on three years’ trading results.

Elmgrove Foods was formed in 2008. Working with multiple local meat processors, the company supplies products to customers in Vietnam, the Philippines and Hong Kong as well as the Ivory Coast, Ghana, Poland and Germany. Elmgrove has increased its overseas sales by 217% over the last three years.
