As the International Sales Director for Pretty Polly and Aristoc at Courtaulds Brands Ltd, Eugene Culhane (BEd Hons Design and Technology Education 1990) spends his time working with retailers and distributors around the world.

Eugene joined Courtaulds Textiles as a production graduate trainee straight from University. His career started in a pyjama factory and took him on a journey through industrial engineering, purchasing, planning and a variety of commercial roles.

He joined Pretty Polly four years ago and is focused on building an export sales and distribution strategy for the brand and Pretty Polly USA. He recently returned from New York where he spent time building relations with iconic retailers such as Nordstrom and Macy's, and also saw Pretty Polly present their latest collaborations at New York’s Fashion Week.

He said: "Clothing manufacturing is a tough business and the fashion industry is extremely fast moving.  It is always satisfying to see our products selling well and being worn by influential celebrities, like Beyoncé and Destiny’s Child at Superbowl 2013 who wore Pretty Polly legwear made in Derbyshire in front of a global audience of 200 million people.
