Network is on its way!

10 May 2012

Network 2012Stephen Dixon Are you all as fed up with the weather in the UK as I am? As much as we need the rain the constant downpours are now getting on my nerves and I need something to cheer me up. Thankfully help is not only at hand - it's being delivered right now!

Your new, exciting copy of Network is on its way out to you - packed with news and features about NTU, about fellow alumni and plenty from me as well. We know you all keep in touch on email, via FaceBook and Twitter, but Network gives you access to those people you have lost contact with as well as those you didn't quite get to know and wish you had. We're a big, thriving community and Network is our way of getting you more involved.

We are really passionate about keeping you connected to NTU, which is why we want to share all of OUR news on new buildings, new developments and new appeals which all help change life for current and future students for the better - so do have a good read through!

As always, do make sure that you send us information about your careers, your stories, your projects, your weddings or civil partnerships or anything else you want to share, for the alumni website or next year's issue.

There's nothing like supporting current students, and it doesn't always have to cost a penny. How about showing support and coming to an exclusive, private showing of the Degree Shows for the schools of Art and Design and Architecture, Design and the Built Environment. It's on 24 May and it's free to attend.

It is a great chance to show support - and if you're anything like me, just be nosey! Meet the staff, say hello to old lecturers and meet fellow alumni. It promises to be a great evening.

Finally - do we have your most up-to-date details? Here's an incentive for you. Check them online before 31 August 2012 and we'll enter you into a prize draw for £50 of Amazon vouchers. Now that can't be bad!

As always, you can contact the Alumni Association with questions or queries, or contact me directly (yes they really do just pop up on my BlackBerry) at stephen.dixon@ntu.ac.uk. I'd love to hear from you and answer any questions or offer help and support whenever I can.

And, when your copy of Network arrives, I wish you all happy reading!
