Alumni from Germany reunite on campus

13 November 2013

Five alumni from the European Business class of 1986 visited the University from their home in Germany recently – for a reunion and to celebrate one of the group’s special birthday.

They enjoyed a tour of the city campus before stopping for a drink in the new Students’ Union building and heading into town for a curry.

Their visit to Nottingham was actually a birthday surprise for Frank Reuther.  He said:  “It was quite emotional to visit again.  Those few months in 1986/87 shaped and influenced our lives - not least because of the friendship that still links us.”

Reunion organiser Britta Boyd (nee Seemann) said:  “We had such a great time.  The Indian restaurant was really good and we were nearly late for our train because we were looking for our old student houses!”
