Dato' Ir Teo Chiang KokFor more than 30 years Dato' Ir Teo Chiang Kok has shaped both the physical landscape of communities in Malaysia and also created opportunities for people to develop their careers through access to education with an international flavour.

He studied in the UK (BSc Electrical Engineering at King's College London and MSc in Management Science at Warwick University) before joining the property arm of his family's business in Malaysia in 1973.

Projects include extensive housing, schools, shopping centres, office complexes and the award-winning Bandar Utama Township, which incorporates many landscaping, energy efficiency and other environmental features.

Teo initiated a new style of tertiary education facility in 1983 with the Kolej Damansara Utama. He followed this with the KBU International College in 1990 on a purpose-built campus designed to provide programmes in partnership with institutions overseas.

Nottingham Trent University, a partner since 1992, currently provides programmes in Art & Design and Engineering, Science & Technology.

Dato' Ir Teo Chiang Kok is a supporter of many charities and member of several trade associations.
