School of Social Sciences alumni invited to Prevention in the UK conference

The Department of Psychology and the Safer Living Foundation are holding a conference in April and alumni of the NTU School of Social Sciences are invited to attend the event - Prevention in the UK: How are we tackling sexual offending and reoffending?

Join leading academics in the field to discuss the prevention of sexual offending and reoffending in the UK. This conference aims to promote the benefit of protection from, and the prevention of, sexual crime. It is hoped to promote the benefit of rehabilitation of persons who have committed or are likely to commit offences, particularly sexual offences, against others.

Hear from leaders in the field including:

Lynn Saunders OBE, Governor of HMP Whatton and co-founder of the Safer Living Foundation

Dr Mark Farmer, HMPPS National Specialist Lead for community programmes for men who have committed sexual offences

Professor Alex Schmidt, Professor of Legal Psychology at the MSH Medical School Hamburg

Stuart Allardyce, Director stopitnow Scotland
