OBE for Chris

NTU alumnus, and the Commercial Director for the 2012 London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (LOCOG), Chris Townsend, has received an OBE in the Queen’s New Year Honours.
In his role Chris Townsend (Marketing Management 1997) was responsible for revenue generation for London 2012, which was an enormous success.
NTU honorary graduate Ruth Mackenzie, the Director of Culture for London 2012, was also recognised and received a CBE for services to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
