Nottingham Trent University nominated for two Whatuni Student Choice Awards

17 March 2017

Nottingham Trent University has made the shortlist in two categories of this year’s Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2017.

The rankings are based on thousands of reviews submitted by students across the UK, and the university is shortlisted in the Students’ Union and University Facilities categories.

Whatuni Student Choice awards are now in their fourth year and offer prospective students an alternative to the traditional university rankings system. More than 26,000 student reviews have been collected for the awards and 44 universities have been nominated across the 12 categories.

Nottingham Trent Students’ Union has previously won the NUS Students’ Union of the Year award and consistently ranked in the top ten of the UK Students’ Unions in the National Student Survey, for the past three years. It also received the Investing in Volunteers Quality Standard award.

In recent years, the university has invested more than £350 million into its facilities, seeing benefits from additional teaching spaces and resources, to campus transformations and regenerating listed buildings. Last year Nottingham Trent University was named as the best for international students and ranked in the top ten of universities overall

The official 2017 Whatuni Student Rankings will be announced on 6 April at a ceremony in London.

Marcella Collins, managing director UK, of Whatuni.com’s parent company Hotcourses Group, said: “We are delighted to see Nottingham Trent University in the short list for a third year in a row. Consistently delivering a high level of student satisfaction is a great achievement and will position the university well in the changing landscape of Higher Education.”
