Bonington building exhibition - share your memories with us!

15 February 2018

There is a great opportunity for alumni and former staff to get involved in an upcoming exhibition about the Bonington building.

The Bonington building was opened in 1969 by Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Kent.

A labyrinth by design, the three-story building offers extensive and state-of-the-art facilities in the support of art and design education in Nottingham. At the heart of the building is a purpose built exhibition space, Bonington Gallery – one of the oldest art galleries in Nottingham.

The team at Bonington Gallery are currently gathering old photographs, newspaper clippings, plans, stories, anecdotes and general collectables relating to the history of both the Bonington building and the Bonington Gallery, to form the basis of a new exhibition, Bonington Vitrines #7.

We are particularly interested in hearing from people who have worked or studied in the building, who may have personal memories, keepsakes and stories that they are willing to share with us.

If you have anything that might be of interest, please get in touch via email or call us on 0115 848 8268, alternatively you can write to us at:

FAO: Tom Godfrey, Bonington Gallery, Nottingham Trent University, Dryden Street, Nottingham, NG1 4GG.

The closing date for submission is Thursday 12 April. We welcome original memorabilia, but also accept scans or photographs of original items. All original items will be returned after the exhibition.

We look forward to hearing from you.
