runNTU 2016

21 January 2016

runNTU 2016 Start LineOn Sunday 17 April we will be holding our annual 5km and 1.5km fun run around the NTU Clifton campus.

The day will include musical entertainment, bouncy castles and loads of runners wearing fancy dress (optional, but we have prizes for the best costume). Registration for the race is between 11:00-12:30 with the race starting at 13:00.

Last year the multi–terrain event attracted 350 staff, students and alumni of all ages and we expect the event to be even more popular this year.

Thanks to the generous sponsorship from UPP Ltd, 100% of entry fees from the race go to the John van Geest Cancer Research Centre’s vital work.  This also applies to money which people raise for us through JustGiving. If you are considering fundraising to make a difference to cancer patients in Nottingham and throughout the world please take a look at the John van Geest website.

Students at Trent TV produced a roundup of the 2015 event which you can view here.

For 2016 we have introduced a new entry option – if you chose to enter the 5km run and set up a JustGiving page you can enter for free providing you raise over £50 by Wednesday 13 April. Simply select the ‘charity option' to book and follow the instructions provided.

Entry for the 5km event includes a race t-shirt, and medals are provided for those who complete the 1.5km fun run. Click on the links below to book.

• 5km Registration – £8

• 5km NTU Student Entry – £5

• 5km Charity place (Raise at least £50) – £0

• 1.5 km fun run – £3

Don't fancy running or perhaps you are bringing someone who doesn't fancy it? There are still ways to get involved! runNTU can't take place without an army of exceptional volunteers who are dedicated to making the event a success. We would love to hear from anyone who would like to join us! Roles include: Event Support, Registration Team, Water Station / Finish line crew, Course Marshal.

For more information on the roles please email us or sign up using the online form.

We'd love to see NTU alumni there on the day, so dust off those trainers!

Together we can crack the cancer code.
