Life's a beach this summer in Nottingham

The Riviera has come back to Nottingham! Following last year's success, Nottingham's Old Market Square has once again been transformed into a seaside playground, complete with Nottingham rock, beach cafes, bucket and spades stalls, flags, bunting and fairground rides.

A large paddling pool complements the Square's water feature and there are tables, deck chairs and sun loungers to seat around 200 people.

Nottingham Riviera will be open throughout the summer holidays until September 5, providing free beach fun for the family during the day with late afternoon and evening relaxation for city workers, commuters and the cool night time crowd.

There is a helter skelter, a carousel and other fairground entertainment.  Beachside stalls sell buckets and spades, sunglasses and all the usual seaside souvenirs including Nottingham rock.

There is a programme of free entertainment and activities every day.  For more information visit Nottingham City Council’s website.

Remember - whilst you are in Nottingham you can enjoy exclusive discounts on some local attractions with your venture card.
